Friendship and friendly rivalry was cemented in July with an inter-group skittles challenge won this year by Angmering SSBCs and we look forward to many inter-group events in the future. All the social clubs will remain affiliated to Sunday Scene Breakfast Clubs.

Dedicated club for widowed people promoted at the University of Brighton

Our founder, Jacquie Clarke was recently invited to address 130 delegates at the launch of ProfitNet, Brighton & Hove, a concept symbolizing partnership working, knowledge sharing and identification of creative approaches to the successful running of small to medium sized businesses. A participant in earlier trials of the programme, Jacquie was invited to explain to delegates how over the last year, her involvement with ProfitNet had helped shape Sunday Scene Breakfast Clubs.

Anjuu Trevedi, ProfitNet’s Director and Senior Business Development Manager said of Jacquie’s speech, “It was inspiring and engaging and I know attendees found it very motivational.”

From Jacquie’s point of view, whilst being delighted to reciprocate some of the help she’s received, she also saw it as a great opportunity of bringing the state of widow(er)hood and the Sunday Scene concept to the attention of a wider audience, many of whom had personally experienced the loss of a partner. As a result, many useful contacts were made during the course of the evening.
