WELCOME TO WIDOWED WORLD

Greetings and a big welcome to our new style website for which we have to thank my dedicated son Simon, who has put considerable effort into making the site beautiful to look at and user friendly; we also thank the former Sunday Scene Breakfast Clubs Organisation which helped to make the changes possible.

Co-incidentally we’re launching the website on the fifth anniversary of the death of my dear late husband and Simon feels greatly honoured to be playing his part in this project as a tribute to the Dad whom he continues to miss. ‘Widowed World’ is our way of helping widowed people everywhere to gain access to helpful information and to find positive ways of managing their bereavement.  We anticipate that the website will include articles from specialists and feature original research papers, gradually building to a unique resource for anyone with a concern for widowhood.

As you will discover, we’ve included a Blog to encourage greater social interaction and hope you’ll use it to share ideas and experiences that may be helpful to other widowed people or indeed those who may become widowed in the future. With around a thousand new people a month visiting the website we anticipate that there will be lots of lively activity.  Widowed World is viewed all around the world (hence the name) so it will be very interesting to discover how widowed people fare in different countries and different cultures.

Please let us know what else you’d like to see included in the website and we’ll do our best to provide it.
