Widowhood & Social Occupation
Widows and Widowers:
The Lived Experience of
eating and meal
preparation occupations.
Amy Washford Msc.
Amy has recently qualified with an Msc in Health Through Occupation from the University of Brighton. The qualification has allowed her to practice as an Occupational Therapist.
At the present time she’s working in an acute hospital environment within a stroke rehabilitation ward. Amy enjoys her work role as it allows her to put in to practice the knowledge she’s learnt on her course and to expand her knowledge. Her current role is on a rotational basis therefore it enables her to gain experience in a number of different settings, including the area of medical and orthopaedics. She hopes to continue within this profession and eventually find an area that she would like to specialise in.
We acknowledge our gratitude to Amy in researching this area of widowhood and wish her much success in her chosen career.
