Written by a lady who has herself been twice widowed, leaving her alone to bring up a young family, Pamela Fudge has written a very believable story that will strike chords with anyone who has also been widowed. Through the book Pamela sensitively addresses many of the issues that confront not only newly widowed women but also those of relationships in general, separation, divorce and family dynamics. Life marches on relentlessly, sometimes with little care for personal circumstances but it’s in the handling of these situations that grief is eased, put in perspective and propels one forward into greater self awareness, inner growth, the ability to move forward in life and even to love again.
Most of this story takes place in a time span of about a year and the pace is quite fast but for many, readjustment to a single life can take several years, so if this isn’t the readers experience, be re-assured that everything will happen as and when it’s right for them – there is no yardstick!
